3/1/12: This giveaway was for my blog, NOT YouTube. They are two completely different giveaways.
Being Quxxn and getting what some might consider “popular” for the past year has really opened my eyes when it comes to a lot of things. The thing that I want to talk about right now is how fake people are. I can list 10 people off the top of my head that are only nice to me, and only communicate with me because they want me to mention them to my subscribers, obviously in order to get their subscriber count up. This stuff really makes me laugh. Like, do you really think I don’t see what you’re doing? I know the only reason you comment on my videos, my channel, and attend my LiveStreams are so you can get noticed, not by me, but by my subscribers.
I’ve never understood why that little number makes people act like scum. I have never spammed anyone’s comments or asked for a shout out. EVER. I’ve said this a million times. I don’t do it for the subscriber count, I do it because I enjoy it. People thought that I was crazy because I chose to abandon an account with 13,000 subscribers. It was hard to do, but not for the reason that you might think. There are so many things in the gaming industry that I want to do that my Quxxn account would not let me do, therefore, I made the decision to cut it loose. The only thing holding me back was that there were people that really love watching my videos, what if they didn’t get the memo? I wouldn’t want them to think that I would just stop posting like that. Some of you may not think this, but I do care about my subscribers a ton.
So back to these fake friends. You really have to watch out for them. I have been fooled once or twice since taking on the Quxxn persona. You meet someone, and they seem really cool, and as if they want to get to know you, but then you notice things. You notice that whenever you are the center of attention, they want to be by your side. Whenever you are doing something, they want to make it known that they do it as well. This goes for people even outside of YouTube and the internet. Putting it plain and simple, people will use the heck out of you to get what they want. They will find a way to get into your life, make you want to trust them, and take a piece of what you have built up for yourself. Whether they are using you for popularity, money, material things, or just your name. Be careful. I guess I’m just writing this to let ALL of those people know that I’m on to their game. Another fake “friend” tried to message me the past couple of days to get back into my good graces. Psh. Yeah right… Like I would ever let that happen again.
