The Sims 3: Supernatural Expansion Pack Leaked!

Earlier today or yesterday (I’m not quite sure), Amazon.IT added The Sims 3 Supernatural to their list of products. What I know is that it is set to be released on September 7th in Italy, meaning probably September 5th for US and Canada. That is what I know for sure. There are tons of speculations about what is to be included in this new expansion pack like witches, fairies, and werewolves based on a game patch that was released with supernatural-themed content. I stated earlier on this week via Facebook and Twitter that an announcement would be coming soon and this kind of confirms it. They usually have about two months of advertising to do, and this is around the time they need to start their campaign. I guess we will just have to wait another week or so to know everything for sure.
My Thoughts:
I’m not excited about this EP, nor am I disappointed. I’ve never been keen on adding witches and werewolves to my game, so for me, this is just a “bleh” moment. I was hoping for seasons or something college-themed. This will be thrown into my pile of unused EPs along with Pets and Showtime. The Sims 3 staff always talks about listening to their consumers, but this proves just the opposite. Hopefully Supernatural will surprise me. Maybe I’ll get a little bit more excited once the trailer is released, but until then… whatevs.

I AM IN LOVE with magic. The first few items I got from the store were the making magic set. And I use it all the time! Definately looking forward to this.
I think its fun to have magic to an extent, but if witches and farries and werewolves are anything like vampires then i will be VERY annoyed.. I hate that random sims in my neighborhood turn into Vampires. If i play a genertaion of SIms eventually majority of the town are Vampires. I hate them becuase they make the game so unrealistic. If i’m not absolutely in love with the EP i hope i wont end up purchasing it.
I love it, im that kinda person thats gets crazy from ‘imaginary things’. I love this magic thing, and i do absolutely love katy perry sweet treats! But i also think that vampires are annoying ;s So yeah.

Lol. I’m not completely against this idea. One of my favorite television shows of all time is Charmed. This will give me the chance to relive those days. I just wouldn’t want to do it for very long.
I just wanted seasons so bad.
And I also know that the faries/werewolves will be out of control like vampires. Please EA, just make seasons.
Well, I’m going to assume that these creatures will be made in CAS and not generated by the game. Hopefully that little factor won’t make them overdone.
Don’t worry about Seasons. I’m positive it is going to be the final EP. Besides, the longer they leave it, the more time they’ll have to improve it and fix bugs.
I’m actually rather excited about Supernatural. I’ve always loved vampires and now I’ll be able to make a vampire-fairy hybrid! However, if the new creatures are going to be like vampires, there aren’t going to be many ‘normal’ sims running around any more.
I honestly think they based these recent EP’s for younger players. This supernatural thing is probably along with twilight and er.. Well whatever supernatural things are out. I love supernatural books or movies but I don’t want it for my sims. It really sucks. I wish they would make two sets of EP’s. One for those who like realistic gameplay and for those who like fantasy because granted everyone is different. The only reason I’m excited for this EP is for something new. Like you Showtime and Pets bore me fast. I hope this one isn’t the same.
I agree. This is definitely geared towards the younger audience. Most people my age aren’t into things like this. I’m not saying that it won’t be fun for a while. But seriously, how long would you want to play as a witch with magical powers, making everything you do easy? Easy takes the fun out of things for people like me.
i don’t have every EP but out of all the ones i have showtime is not my fave. looking at this i know i’m probably not going to buy it ( and i kinda wish i’d gotten pets instead of showtime because its more my style) but your right there might be some good suprises in it

As much as I will love this expansion pack, EA doesn’t seem to hear us. We were all, including me, asking for seasons. So clearly a full time simmer (such as quxxn) should get a job at EA and be sure to tell them what we want. Because so far the closest thing to seasons is the earthquakes in Ambitions and graduation in Generations is the closest thing to college life. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE NECTAR EA!!!

I really want seasons, EA keep coming up with new EP and SP that are nothing to do with what we want!!!!!! I think if EA keep coming up with ideas that their players don’t want, they’re gonna loose out!

Noooooo…. This is so irritating. Vampires in late night turned out in a disaster. That creeps are walking everywhere trough your town. If they add wizards and shit, al your sims will turn in weird creatures. The name Sims means Simulation, right? It becomes extremely unrealistic now.
This is making me mad. I loved Sims for the realism of it. Why wouldn’t EA just research and see what people want? I HIGHLY doubt I will install this EP. If I buy it, it’s just to complete my collection but I won’t install it! Maybe I’ll be proved wrong and turn out to love it. I SURE hope so! Gahh. :/
I was able to take your opinion seriously until you said that EA doesn’t listen to its consumers. I don’t know what Sims forums/spaces you hang around online but for years fans of the games have been begging for werewolves, vampires, and real magic. To me this sounds like EA finally giving in to the years of groveling that thousands of fans have done. And why would you waste money and hard drive space on an expansion you don’t want?
I’m always browsing The Sims 3 forums and spent a lot of time in The Sims 2 forums at one point. People want Seasons more than any other thing. They also want a college-themed pack. I never said I didn’t want this EP, but I’m not excited for it. The only reason I still have Showtime and Pets installed is for the items that they come with, and some interactions. Other than that… they are useless in my opinion. But that is besides the point, yeah, if EA were listening, this EP would be weather related. Of course, there is still time for them to release it, I just think they are making us wait too long.
A lot of people wanted magic I for one love when there is a bit of magic and am very excited for this ep. EA knows you want seasons but they are trying to perfect it. Also the constant spamming isn’t helping them make it faster…so blame the seasons spammers!

Yeah, I like to mix it up a bit as well from time to time. I’m just not sure how having magic as a huge part of my game will satisfy how I usually play the game when I’m not switching it up. We shall see. Again, I’m not against this idea, I just would have preferred something different.
I think one of the sims “gurus” should start a blog or something to tell us what they are doing. Like working on seasons, or new ep soon.

I agree with Quxxn come on its meant to be “Life Simulation” I don’t know about you guys but I don’t see werewolves and other mystical creatures walking down the street. I wouldn’t mind it as it should have a ton of new stuff but it will seem weird to me we will have to wait for the trailer for me I just hope there is an option to turn mystical creature spawning off
I agree with you as well. I love having my sims live a nice suburban lifestyle. I can’t do this with a ton of magic around me.
I think it’ll be cool and i do believe that they were listening to people because I saw a lot of fan stuff made for witches and fairies on YouTube but, i think they aren’t doing university and weather EP’s is that its gonna be really hard on your computer. For weather they would need terrible graphics for the weather to make it run smoothly, I think it would act like pets and showtime with all of those terrible glitches, bugs, and constant freezing. University I think it would be really freezy and how would they have different colleges on different maps like sims 2 if it is like the one in sims 2. . . that’s why I think they’re not making those two. . . I wish though they would make them though instead of this magic.
I wanted season too, but i can’t stop myself getting excited about a possible supernatural ep. I want aliens like in sims 2, and merpeople would be nice, also angels/demons, although i’m not sure about wizards…we can already make potions with the chemistry set, and magic with the magic stuff from the store…
Magic huh? Ehh..I have a feeling they are saving university and seasons for last purposely, and in the meantime giving us complete wastes of time, money and work. Pets and Showtime were horrible. Don’t get me wrong, this sounds like fun and all, but I don’t want a witch flying my sim to work on a broomstick…

I’m actually really looking forward to this EP. I read one of the sources and the things that come with it seem very interesting! I would definitely buy it. But on the downside, I do also like to play ‘normal’ families and I wouldn’t enjoy it if half the people in my town got magically turned into werewolves/witches/fairies. Part from that! YIPPEE!
And, I have a feeling that Seasons will be the last EP. Just to wind us up

I can’t say I’m going to hate this, but this is one of those things where if it isn’t done perfectly, it’s done wrong. A magic-based EP could be a fun twist to the game, but it would be amazing if you could turn these nonhumans off. For pets and showtime EA has slacked a bit, and this has turned up my expectations for a noteworthy EP that you would not get bored of quickly. With previous similar themed sore content, I find myself seldomly using it because I tend to play in a more realistic way. However, if they could pull it off, I think my life would be complete.
What if you were a witch and you cast a speel for weather? That would be cool.
I’m in like, but not in love, i will still go out and buy this if this is was to be the next EP, since i am a dedicated addicted fan (lol). But i’m so keen to get weather or something along the lines of university! i do like the Idea of witches but, as many above have said, i too get annoyed with random popping up of vampires :/
I’m kind of excited, but if they have this expansion pack, then they really need to add people to hunt werewolves and vampires (to keep the numbers down). Hunters would make it so much more interesting.
I honestly think this might just be another world adventures. Like doing quest for faires and stuff like that. I damn sure hope not.
i sorta think its a hoax:) haha i think seasons will come out with actual holidays like halloween you get costumes and such, and christmas when ur sims wake up u find presents or can give presents to other sims, fourth of july stuff like that to really make seasons pop:) But i heard u say in one of ur vids there is going to be a sims 4 so they might do this for that. If supernatural is real it sounds fun but i think after a while people will get bored with it like you said.
and maybe in seasons if it does come out like i think for halloween they will probably have the werewolf and witch traits which your sims can wear the costume and maybe some magic potion they create can turn them into real life witches and werewolfs
They should make Supernatural include more than Witches… PLEASE have something weather-related as well to make the game a tad more realistic. My favorite Expansion Packs for The Sims 2 were Open For Business and Seasons. I want those for The Sims 3.
There are also: Werewolves, Zombies and Faeries. I think this game will be a LOT more lasting than Showtime or World Adventures.
I’m not against the idea of this EP, I know multiple people wanting an expansion pack like Makin’ Magic but I was really crossing my fingers for Seasons. I feel like ‘Supernatural’ creatures have been added as a wee addition in pretty much every EP, like Mummies, Vampires, Simbots, Imaginary Friends, Unicorns, Genies, etc, and it seems like Fairies could have easily been slotted as the extra character in the next EP. I just really want Seasons.
I want werewolves and if this expansion pack doesn’t include werewolves ill probably rip my hair out

Well I am not very excited. At first I was so excited for pets, but then it got boring after I adopted the unicorn. With late night I thought it was going to be the best ever! Untill almost ALL of Bridgeport turned into vampires. When showtime came I wasn’t to excited, but I got it and after I set the genie free the game got boring. I dont want this expansion to get out of hand with a bunch of werewolves, witches, and fairies. The sims seems to be getting out of realism… The only decent packs to me are generations, pets, ambitions, and late night. I wanted seasons so I could finally have some change of weather! Like beach parties and bonfires!! Won’t it be fun te experience different weather? I think that EA isn’t listening very well to it’s customers like they said so…
Hmm I think that they should make stuff packs using stuff from the sims3 store because my parents dOnt like me buying simpoints. And more people by the actual CD than fake little “points” overall I dont think I am too excited for this pack if anythingnI am going to save my money for seasons because I bet that will be an expensive expansion pack!!
The only way this expansion pack would be cool is if they introduced an alien only town, magic to cure sim illnesses, to curse your enemies into depression and stuff to bring family members back from the dead! And werewolves, and a supernatural slayer that can hunt down and kill aliens,vampires,werewolves and witches as a job to keep supernatural numbers down manually. But with all these crazy hoohaa there should be an in depth settings of how freely sims can become animals so that our towns don’t get populated into some crazy other dimension that we have no control of. And the last expansion pack must be seasons!!!Spring, summer, autumn, winter and lots of new items and a special occasion at the end of each season-eg.new year,easter,christmas etc. Come on EA!Listen to the people!

This EP sounds sort of cool, but then again so did showtime and I was bored of that in the first hour of gameplay. I really hope seasons isn’t the last expansion pack because I loved university in sims 2, but I never owned it and my computer crashed and I couldn’t reinstall university.
